ICC unseals arrest warrants for four Taliban leaders over gender persecution charges
The International Criminal Court on Monday released details on arrest warrants issued in July and September 2025 against four senior Taliban officials accused of crimes against humanity.

Warrants cover supreme leader and others
Judges revealed that Haibatullah Akhundzada faces charges for implementing policies violating fundamental rights. Abdul Hakim Haqqani is also wanted as the head of the Supreme Court. These two officials were previously identified in July but their specific warrants remained hidden until now.
Education ministers face gender persecution
Habibullah Agha and Neda Mohammad Nadim are accused of barring girls from secondary schooling. The court found reasonable grounds to believe they committed persecution against women and LGBTQ individuals. Their actions allegedly enforced the group's strict policy on gender identity and expression.
