Plain terms for an ordinary news site. Using Parallax means accepting them.
What this site is
Parallax publishes short summaries of news reported by other organisations, with each source named and linked, together with our own editorial writing. The methodology page explains how the summaries are produced.
Accuracy, and its limits
Every summary is checked against the reporting it is drawn from before it publishes. No guarantee of accuracy is offered, and nothing here is legal, financial, medical or professional advice of any kind.
Where a decision matters, read the original reporting we link to, and prefer it to our summary. If you find an error, the corrections policy explains how to have it fixed.
Other people’s work
Headlines, article text and photographs belong to the organisations that produced them. We summarise, credit and link. We do not claim ownership of anything we summarise, and we do not republish articles in full.
Photographs are used either with credit to the outlet that reported the story, or from free-licence libraries under the terms of those licences, with the photographer and licence named on the page.
If you hold rights in material that appears here and object to its use, write to editor@parallax.news with the specific links. We will respond promptly and remove material where the objection is well founded. We would rather sort it out directly than have you go elsewhere first.
Our own work
The summaries, the source comparisons, the editorial articles and the design of this site are ours. You are welcome to quote a passage with attribution and a link. Reproducing the site wholesale, scraping it systematically, or republishing its content as your own is not permitted.
Using the site
Read it, link to it, share it. Do not attempt to break it, overload it, or gain access to parts of it that are not public. Automated access at a volume that degrades the service for others is not acceptable; if you want the data for research, ask.
Links out
We link to other sites constantly, which is the point of this one. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they publish or how they treat your data. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability
The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. It may be unavailable, incomplete or out of date at any time. We do not accept liability for loss arising from use of the site or from reliance on anything published here, to the extent the law allows.
Changes and law
These terms may change; the date below shows when they last did. They are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
