Current fleet installation status

The airline now reports that 636 of its total aircraft are equipped with the satellite system. Passengers on these planes receive free and fast internet access without connection stability concerns. This number represents a significant portion of United's current operational fleet.

Timeline for full coverage

United plans to complete installations across its entire mainline and regional fleet by the end of 2027. The carrier began this installation process in 2025 after equipping all regional United Express jets first.

Competitor network choices

Delta Air Lines selected Amazon Leo for its own fleet and will not start installations until 2028. American Airlines has also chosen Starlink but expects to begin its installation process in early 2027.
