Roundtable brings together stakeholders

A meeting convened at the Serena Hotel gathered government, academia, and industry representatives to discuss graduate employability. The event included two thematic sessions focused on linking digital skills development with local employment needs. Participants aimed to align training institutions with employer requirements in the region.

Focus on skills and infrastructure

Speakers highlighted the need for reliable high-speed internet to unlock the area's untapped digital talent. Muhammad Zohaib Khan of P@SHA noted that current infrastructural challenges could limit access to global markets. The dialogue also addressed the necessity of updating university curricula to match IT export sector demands.

Local association joins effort

P@SHA is collaborating with the Gilgit-Baltistan Software Houses Association on policy advocacy and skills development. This partnership aims to facilitate exports and generate employment for local residents. The initiative operates under the TVET Sector Support Programme funded by Team Europe.
