Traditional homes return to use

These kulla structures once protected families during conflict and sheltered travelers on trade routes. Many of the buildings fell into disrepair throughout the 20th century before this new project began restoring them.

Route covers multiple regions

The journey spans more than 100 miles across villages in the Mirdita, Mat, Bulqiza and Dibra areas. Future plans include adding cycling and 4×4 routes to the existing walking path.

Accommodation options available

Travellers can stay in guesthouses, farms or restored tower houses along the way. This arrangement connects visitors with the cultural heritage of the region while they explore high plains and forests.
