Olivia Rodrigo performed in a dissolving outfit at the opening night of her Unraveled Tour stop at Hartford's PeoplesBank Arena on September 25.
White dress turns red underneath
Rodrigro appeared on stage wearing a white collared mini dress with a pleated skirt. As the song reached its climax, artificial rain began to pour from above the stage. The outer layer disintegrated before the audience's eyes to reveal a fire-red corseted bodysuit and miniskirt underneath.
Designer revisits past runway work
The piece was custom-designed by Hussein Chalayan for the performance. This design revisits one of the designer's most memorable runway experiments from his spring 2016 collection. During that show, models stood motionless in white paper garments before hidden showerheads released water overhead to dissolve their outer layers.
