Data availability and online access

The University of Nebraska, Lincoln posted the map and its accompanying data online for public use. The Journal of Maps published an academic paper explaining the project methodology and key findings.

Utility for resource management

This new resource helps with water management, wildlife habitat analysis, and geohazard identification. Scientists note the map serves as a starting point for future refinements.
