Owners notice strange coating

The couple noticed a greasy orange film covering Misty's coat after a walk in December 2019. Donna described the substance as oily and smelling strongly, which stained the dog for weeks.

Health deteriorates rapidly

Misty began coughing up blood and suffered from periodic diarrhoea and vomiting shortly after the incident. By 2024, the nine-year-old animal was struggling to complete her usual walks near Ty Mawr.

Owners seek investigation

The owners believe the death links to historical chemical dumping explored in a recent BBC documentary. They are calling for an examination of pet records to identify clusters of rare illnesses.
