Society moves equipment from army base

The group plans to transfer an out-of-use dome and telescope previously located at the Tern Hill army base. This structure was originally used by the Irish Rangers before being moved to the village hall site.

Council approves unusual visual feature

Telford and Wrekin planners agreed that the curved white fibreglass dome adds visual interest to the location. Officials noted the structure is somewhat unusual but supports the application for the new facility.

Group aims to engage residents

Society chairman Philip Osman stated the project will serve as a first public observatory in the area. The team hopes this installation will inspire diverse residents and allow for broader community outreach activities.
