Alisha Palmowski wins 2026 F1 Academy title in Austin
Twenty-year-old British driver Alisha Palmowski has been crowned the 2026 F1 Academy champion after securing a victory with three races remaining at the Circuit of the Americas.
Dominant season performance
Palmowski won five of the eleven races held so far this season. She currently holds a seventy-point lead over her closest challenger, Emma Felbermayr, with only sixty-seven points available in the remaining events.
Race results in Austin
The driver took first place in Friday's opening race and finished second in Saturday's reverse grid race behind Alba Larsen. These results were sufficient to confirm her title before the main Sunday feature race takes place at five pm.
Personal dedication
Palmowski dedicated her championship win to her ill grandmother during an emotional post-race interview. She thanked her family for their support and sacrifices throughout her racing career.
