Guardian introduces Killer Sudoku puzzle with new dotted line rules
The Guardian has launched a special Killer Sudoku puzzle where numbers inside dotted lines must add up to corner figures without repeating.
Standard grid rules apply
Normal sudoku regulations remain in effect for the entire board. Players must ensure no number repeats within any single row, column, or standard box.
New shape constraints exist
Numbers placed inside cells marked by dotted lines must total the figure shown in that corner. Each distinct shape formed by these dotted lines forbids repeating any digit within its boundaries.
Solutions appear later
Readers can view the finished puzzle by purchasing the next issue of the newspaper. Solutions for Friday and Saturday puzzles will be available in either Saturday or Monday editions.
