Azad Kashmir PM unveils tourism plan for Leepa Valley
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani announced a comprehensive tourism development plan for Leepa Valley on Sunday.

Tributes to LoC residents and troops
Gilani addressed a large public gathering in Leepa Valley on November 8. He paid tribute to people living along the Line of Control for their courage against Indian shelling. The prime minister stated that cross-border firing failed to weaken local determination. He also honored the Pakistan Army for safeguarding territorial integrity along the border.
Tourism proposals and infrastructure upgrades
The leader invited residents to submit viable proposals for development projects in the valley. He pledged measures to create employment opportunities specifically for unemployed youth in the area. The government plans to improve the road network as part of basic infrastructure works. Children from the valley will receive facilitation for higher education at leading universities across the country.
Health unit upgrades and vacancies
Gilani announced the phased upgradation of all basic health units in Leepa Valley. Rural health centres will also undergo improvement under this new development strategy. Recruitment against government vacancies will occur through a third-party mechanism within the next three months. Minister for Health Dr Mustafa Bashir joined other officials to address the gathering.
