Eating window duration matters for weight

Participants assigned an eight-hour eating window lost more weight than those with a twelve-hour window. This result was not significantly different from the group allowed a ten-hour window. The study tracked food intake using mobile apps over periods lasting three to six months.

Metabolic markers showed limited change

The analysis found modest effects on blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels across the groups. Researchers noted that limiting calories was not required for these time-restricted eating protocols. Most participants started with an average daily eating window of about fifteen hours.
