The Hind Rajab Foundation obtained videos showing Eitan Gilboa detonating residential buildings in Gaza during January 2024. The organization states that Gilboa was also present in Rafah in June and involved in another demolition in July of the same year. These actions are alleged to violate the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Travel route through India
The foundation claims thousands of Israeli soldiers travel annually to India via a path known as the Hummus Trail. This route includes locations in Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan where guest houses frequently accommodate these visitors. Gilboa is reported to have followed this same backpacking itinerary after his alleged war crimes.
Annual visitor estimates
Reports indicate that around 80,000 Israeli soldiers travel to India each year on this established route. The Hind Rajab Foundation notes that attractions along the way include events featuring trance music and drugs.
