Hyderabad traders seek longer gas supply hours for hotels and restaurants
The Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry asked authorities to extend gas supply hours in Hyderabad on November 1.
Operators face operational challenges
Nadeem Ahmed Siddiqui stated that the current duration of gas supply is insufficient for the hospitality sector. Business operators reported that gas is available for barely six hours a day. Rising LNG prices are also creating financial pressure on hotels and restaurants.
Supply issues affect business
The Chamber President noted that limited gas supply combined with high costs places additional strain on businesses. Operators complained about difficulties in obtaining liquefied natural gas at prescribed rates. Effective monitoring and regulatory oversight are needed to address these complaints.
