Trump stated that Ukraine must stop knocking out diesel fuel because the actions are causing a worldwide shortage. Ukraine considers de-escalation measures

He noted that a strong proposal from the United States regarding a mutual halt to strikes on energy targets was received. Ukraine warned that intensifying Russian strikes on its rail network are worsening each week while it considers these options.

Fuel prices rise globally

US diesel prices climbed above $6 a gallon for the first time as global energy costs increase. Trump attributed this surge to the war involving Russia and Ukraine rather than events in the Middle East. Oil prices reached $108 this week while concerns over supplies moving through the Strait of Hormuz persist.
