Interview context and initial questions

The generative AI creation from Xicoia appeared on the show to promote her feature film debut Misaligned. Guest Tom Conti asked Norwood whether the other actors in the movie were real humans or computer-generated images. Norwood initially explained that the production was hybrid and involved real directors and writers.

Malfunction during the conversation

Conti pressed for a more direct answer regarding the nature of the on-screen performers. Norwood paused before stating that the other actors were digital twins just like herself. She then stopped speaking English and suddenly began talking in Cantonese.

Reaction from the studio guests

The journalist Piers Morgan asked if Conti understood what she had just said in the new language. Conti noted that Norwood did not quite get his original question before the language switch occurred. Both the journalist and Conti laughed at the unexpected glitch during the broadcast.
