Zelenskyy says allies failed to warn Ukraine of Kyiv missile strikes
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on Tuesday that Western allies did not provide early warnings for Russian ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv's civilian infrastructure.

Attacks target power plant and homes
Russian missiles struck Darnytska CHP-4, a key heating and electricity facility, late on Tuesday night. A residential high-rise building in the capital was also hit during the same wave of attacks. One person died in the strike on the apartment block while thirteen others were injured.
Lack of intelligence warning confirmed
The Ukrainian president emphasized that receiving intelligence from partners helps save lives during such incidents. He noted this was the second consecutive night Kyiv faced ballistic missile strikes without advance notice. Zelenskyy described the situation as unfortunate but did not explicitly assign blame for the missing warnings.
Ceasefire claims ignored by Russia
The attacks occurred despite a purported energy ceasefire claimed by Donald Trump earlier in the week. Kyiv reported multiple Russian strikes following that announcement, contradicting the idea of a pause in hostilities. The mayor confirmed that apartments were on fire and residents were evacuated from the damaged building.
