Pool resumes after legal victory

The primary White House television pool began recording administration events again after a court ruling overturned the Trump administration ban. This decision allowed NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox News and CNN to resume filming together. The networks had previously stopped coverage on Monday in solidarity with the three banned outlets.

Coverage during Xi visit

The restored pool provided live video of Chinese President Xi Jinping's arrival at the White House for tea. Footage also covered a tour of the National Archives where the US Constitution is kept. No high-quality pool footage was available for the first two days of the visit due to the earlier ban.

Access denied for state dinner

Journalists from CNN and MS Now were blocked from entering the White House state dinner honoring Xi Jinping. This denial occurred despite a federal judge granting access for the next two weeks while the case continues. The president had previously barred these three outlets from the grounds over claims of fake news reporting.
