Rubio addresses journalist assault

Secretary Rubio stated that Washington is very disturbed by images showing an attack on American photojournalist Heidi Levine. He confirmed that US officials have asked Israeli authorities to crack down on such incidents and expect a response from the embassy in Jerusalem by Sunday.

Other victims of violence

Reports indicate that European diplomats and a French mayor were also targeted during the same period. Rubio noted these events occurred alongside attacks on Palestinian civilians while he was preparing to travel to Uzbekistan.

Rise in settler incidents

Monitoring group Yesh Din recorded at least 170 attacks by settlers on Palestinians since late September. Rubio emphasized that the US continues to request Israel take steps to deter this violence.
