The US government has granted visas for a core Iranian delegation including the president and foreign minister to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York next week.

A State Department spokesman confirmed on Thursday that travel permits were issued for President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The administration stated the group will be smaller than the delegation sent last year.
