United Nations adds 61 firms to settlement business database
The United Nations human rights office released an updated list of companies operating in Israeli settlements in the West Bank on Friday.

The new database now contains 214 firms from 11 countries. Since last year's update, the office added 61 companies and removed five others. Major travel and technology firms remain on the list despite criticism from Israel.
Specific new additions listed
New entries include Israeli pesticide maker ADAMA and real estate holding company Alony Hetz. Spanish firm Salvat Logistica also joined the registry alongside travel agency Expedia. Several companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding their inclusion.
Scope of monitored activities
The list tracks firms involved in ten specific activities within occupied Palestinian territory. These actions include construction, surveillance, and destruction of agricultural land in the West Bank. The database was first produced in 2020 following a Human Rights Council resolution.
