Joint defence pact activates

Houthi missile activity rises

Yemen's Houthis launched dozens of missiles and drones against Saudi targets on Thursday. Saudi authorities reported intercepting six ballistic missiles fired by the group during this period.

Iran distance from allies

Tehran has sought to separate itself from the rapid advance of its Houthi partners in Yemen. The kingdom's top religious authority called on soldiers to fight until the group is ousted from power.
