Russian strikes cut power to 600,000 people in Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russian missile and drone strikes on Wednesday left at least 600,000 people across Ukraine without electricity.

Casualties and infrastructure damage
At least six people died in the overnight attacks according to Ukrainian authorities. Three of those deaths occurred in Kyiv where emergency services also recorded 21 injuries. Russia's defence ministry stated its forces targeted communications and energy facilities used by Ukraine's military.
Aerial activity over Russia
Russian officials reported downing 902 drones over their territory during the night. Ukrainian air force data indicates they intercepted four missiles and 115 drones from a total of 39 ballistic and cruise missiles launched by Russia.
Disputed ceasefire claims
President Donald Trump claimed an energy ceasefire was in place on Sunday. President Zelensky has repeatedly stated that Ukraine is ready to halt strikes on Russian energy facilities if Moscow agrees to stop attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure.
