Israeli forces detain US congressional candidate Brad Lander and dozens of others in West Bank
Israeli military detained approximately 80 activists including Democratic congressional nominee Brad Lander while they harvested olives near Bethlehem on Wednesday.

Detention of volunteers during harvest
Reports confirm that Israeli forces stopped the group and placed them on buses to transfer them to a nearby settlement. The detainees included American, British, and Israeli citizens alongside Palestinian farmers working in the grove. Lander stated on social media that he was held along with rabbis and volunteers near Nehalim.
Unclear destination for those held
Activists said their final destination remained unclear immediately after the transfer to the settlement area. Authorities have not yet released information regarding whether any of the Palestinian farmers were detained with the group. No updates are available on when or if anyone will be released from custody.
