Iran says US negotiations continue via mediators despite Sunday withdrawal
Iran's foreign ministry stated on Monday that diplomatic exchanges with the United States are ongoing through Qatari intermediators after talks ended on Sunday.

Mediators facilitate message exchange
A senior official confirmed that negotiators left Doha without facing negotiation difficulties. Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi traveled to the city to help pass messages between Tehran and Washington. The spokesperson noted that a draft proposal is currently being shared with both sides.
Seven-step plan under review
Tehran originally submitted a seven-step strategy in September to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and lift the naval blockade. Officials now suggest this framework could be implemented much faster than previously planned. The proposal remains the central focus for any potential agreement between the two nations.
Conditions for final deal
Baghaei insisted that no final accord can happen unless the US ends its naval blockade and respects Iranian demands. He described these requirements as reasonable and logical during a press briefing on Monday. Reports indicate oil prices dropped nearly four percent following news of continued mediation efforts.
