Iran conveys seven conditions to restart talks with US
Iran's security chief Mohsen Rezaei announced seven conditions for negotiations with the United States on Saturday via mediators in Qatar.
Conditions for ending the war
Mohsen Rezaei stated that Tehran requires an end to hostilities across all fronts before discussions can resume. The Iranian official also demanded the unfreezing of frozen assets and the lifting of the naval blockade. These requirements were communicated through Qatari mediators who are currently consulting with Pakistani counterparts.
Awaiting response from Washington
Rezaei told Al Jazeera that Tehran is waiting for a reply from US President Donald Trump regarding these terms. He posted on X that Washington must accept Iran's rights to avoid remaining in its current situation. Consultations with regional mediators continue as the two sides prepare for a potential diplomatic shift.
