Officer struck man with vehicle

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent drove a car into Miguel Parra Hernandez on Saturday morning. The 48-year-old worker suffered multiple leg fractures and requires reconstructive ankle surgery. He was driving to work when the collision occurred near Houston.

Targeted suspect reportedly deceased

ICE stated they were chasing Jose Mendoza-Cervantes, but documents show that man died years ago. The family of the deceased provided proof that the target was no longer alive. An immigration group claims the photo ICE released actually showed a different man.

Officials dispute agency account

A Harris County district attorney spokesperson said Mendoza-Cervantes was not in the vehicle involved in the crash. The advocacy group FIEL says this casts doubt on the official story given by US immigration authorities. ICE did not respond to requests for comment regarding these conflicting reports.
