Agnes Ngetich breaks women-only half marathon world record in Copenhagen

New record time set

Ngetich finished the race in one hour, five minutes and 15 seconds. She improved on the previous mark held by her compatriot Peres Jepchirchir by exactly one second.

Race performance details

The athlete pushed to the front from the start of the event in the Danish capital. Her victory margin was fifty seconds over silver medalist Veronica Loleo, who also came from Kenya.
