US Treasury warns Iranian airlines face global shutdown by September 23
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that Iranian carriers will be unable to operate globally starting September 23 under new sanctions.

Bessent told CNBC that landing services and fuel supplies will stop for these airlines. He also said ticket sales would cease if the carriers attempt to fly. Operators in the dollar system could be knocked out if they continue operations.
