Initial rollout begins immediately

The airline will make the service available on 50 percent of its current flight schedule. This expansion follows feedback from passengers who switched to United specifically for high-speed internet access.

Los Angeles hub gets priority

Flights departing from Los Angeles will feature Starlink connectivity on every aircraft by mid-2027. An upgrade probability monitor is also being introduced to the airline app to track progress.

Customer numbers drive growth

Over 5.4 million passengers used the service in September alone, a figure that exceeds daily usage across the rest of the US industry combined. Status-match requests from rival frequent-flyer programs have increased fourfold since the announcement.
