Two power outages struck Ho Man Tin in Hong Kong overnight into Thursday after equipment near Waterloo Road malfunctioned.

First outage affects customers
Equipment near Waterloo Road first malfunctioned at 11.18pm on Wednesday. The initial failure disrupted power for about 1,000 households and a hotel. Engineering personnel conducted an emergency repair to address the issue.
Temporary supply faces instability
Power was resumed at 3.47am on Thursday after mobile generators were deployed. Residents consuming power in the morning caused heavy load issues that affected about 650 customers temporarily. Electricity was progressively restored to all affected customers by 8am.
