The couple had booked a seven-night trip and reserved a hotel in the country. They carried complete documents and held tickets for their journey. An official at the airport announced that Georgia decided not to grant them entry.
Documents seized before departure
Immigration officers took both passports from the travelers while they waited for their next flight. The couple was sent back on a subsequent flight without further explanation. Their mobile phones were also confiscated during the process.
