Trade targets set for growth

The two nations resolved to raise bilateral trade from US$ 13.4 million to US$ 200 million within the next two years. Officials emphasized improving air and maritime connectivity as a priority for this expansion. They also discussed strengthening partnerships in food security and pharmaceuticals sectors.

Leaders agreed to convene the Joint Economic Commission at an early date to oversee these new initiatives. The delegation-level talks focused on private-sector opportunities alongside traditional government-to-government agreements.
