Menorca offers biological treasures and calm waters for travelers

The island holds the largest marine Biosphere Reserve in the Mediterranean. This UNESCO-protected area extends more than 12 miles offshore from the coast. The region features Posidonia oceanica seagrass that contributes to the turquoise appearance of the sea.

Visitors can find secluded spots like Cala Algaiarens near the city of Ciutadella in the north. Other notable sites include Cala Morell with its rocky landscape and Cala Morella Nou within S'Albufera Natural Park. These beaches offer impressive views and are located close to Cape Favàritx.
Cultural and Natural Sites
The Camí de Cavalls path leads to a Talayotic necropolis containing up to 14 caves carved into rock. Travelers can also climb Monte Toro to reach the island's highest point for panoramic views. The capital city Mahón features English-style streets, art galleries, and lively bars for visitors.
