Capital Development Authority plans double-decker bus service for Islamabad tourism
The Capital Development Authority in Islamabad is planning to launch a new double-decker bus service to promote tourism.

Procurement process underway
Officials say the authority approached Heavy Industries Taxila for a feasibility study and cost estimates. The agency is currently waiting for input from the manufacturer before making a final decision on procurement.
Proposed route details
The initial plan involves four buses operating on a 25km city tour starting from F-9 Park. This route will cover major landmarks including Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa, and Shakarparian.
Timeline for launch
An official stated that the service could become functional within three months if plans proceed as expected. The buses are intended to be environment-friendly electric models similar to those already in use on over 20 routes.
