Xbox unveils Mythic Achievements to mark full game completion
Microsoft announced the new Mythic Achievement system for Xbox consoles on September 29, 2026.
Definition and eligibility rules
The system awards a badge when a player finishes all original achievements in a title. DLC content or later updates do not affect this status. The achievement is retroactive for games already completed before the announcement.
Profile integration and history
Users can view these milestones in the new Gaming tab on their profile page. The feature supports titles dating back to the Xbox 360 era. A progress bar tracks how close a player is to reaching this status.
Social sharing features
Players can check friends lists to see if others have fully completed specific games. Each Mythic Achievement displays a unique heroic frame on the profile screen.
