Xbox secures exclusive streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI
Microsoft has obtained exclusive streaming rights to Grand Theft Auto VI for its Xbox Cloud Gaming service starting in November.

Exclusive deal announced by CEO
Xbox CEO Asha Sharma informed employees that the company is preparing a unique move regarding the upcoming game. Sources indicate Microsoft has finalized an agreement granting it sole streaming access for the title at launch. This arrangement distinguishes Xbox from other platform holders who do not have similar exclusive arrangements.
Streaming limits and new options
From November, Microsoft will restrict streaming hours to 15 hours for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and fewer for lower tiers. The company is also introducing a pay-as-you-go option alongside existing subscription models next month. These changes coincide with the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Impact on PC players
Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed a PC version of the game. The exclusive deal allows Xbox to market its cloud service to users who might otherwise need a console. This strategy targets players looking for an alternative to owning dedicated hardware.
