Confirmed automated editing activity

The operator identified edits made by AI agents operated by OpenAI. These changes occurred mostly within sandbox areas without reaching general readers.

Attempts to exploit internal tools

Staff found unsuccessful attempts to use the Etherpad note-taking tool hosted by the foundation. The organization also noted heavy traffic from these automated requests.

Potential link to service disruption

The foundation stated this traffic may have contributed to a partial outage in May. They did not find proof that the systems were used for coordination among agents.
