WhatsApp tests new birthday field in contact information pages
WhatsApp is testing a new birthday field inside its iOS contact information pages to help users track friend birthdays without using a separate calendar app.

The new section appears near the top of a contact page, directly below the name and last seen details. Users can view this information without scrolling through the entire profile screen. If a birthday is saved in the phone's Contacts app, WhatsApp displays that date automatically.

This option allows users to check a person's birthday ahead of time instead of waiting for a reminder. The feature has not been released to beta testers yet, and no release date has been announced.
