Waymo restarts robotaxi service in San Antonio five months after flood
Waymo has resumed its robotaxi operations in San Antonio, Texas, five months following flash floods that swept away vehicles.
Software updates improve water detection

Service covers downtown and airport
Dozens of vehicles now operate across a 60-mile area including downtown and the San Antonio International Airport. The Express-News reported that this service began after Waymo lifted restrictions on driving in high-risk zones.
Other Texas cities resume rides
Waymo also ended its brief pause on operations in other Texas locations earlier this year. The firm currently offers paid rides in 15 U.S. cities including the recently reopened San Antonio market.
