Valve adds achievement sets to Steam for base games and DLC
Valve has introduced a new feature called achievement sets that allows developers to separate game achievements from their downloadable content on the Steam platform.

How the new system works
Developers can now split achievements into distinct groups with their own progress bars. Users unlock rewards by playing the game normally, but browsing unlocked items will show developer-created sets instead of one long list. Finishing a specific set grants a unique trophy visible on the user profile.
Support for seasonal content
The platform supports temporary achievement sets that developers can archive after use. Valve suggests this feature works well for season-based games or time-limited holiday achievements. A handful of titles already support this functionality according to the company.
Games with the update
Titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Euro Truck Simulator 2 are among the first to use the system. Other supported games include Age of Wonders 4, Crusader Kings III, and Forza Horizon 5. The list includes DREDGE, American Truck Simulator, and several others.
