Users can disable specific Apple Intelligence features in iOS 27
Apple owners running iOS 27 on compatible iPhones can now turn off individual AI functions like Siri upgrades and message summaries.
Turning off Siri AI
iOS 27 removed the single system-wide switch for Apple Intelligence. Users must navigate to Settings and select Siri to disable the new conversational version. Selecting Use Siri Classic restores the older voice assistant for basic tasks.
Disabling message summaries
The operating system allows users to stop AI-generated summaries of notifications. This option is found within the Messages settings menu under Apps. Turning off Summarize Me stops the feature from processing incoming text.
