Strikes target key infrastructure

A series of drone attacks launched by Ukraine have disabled multiple Russian data centers run by Yandex. The first strike occurred on October 8, 2026, in Sasovo, followed by a second attack on October 10 near the same region.

Bot traffic drops significantly

Internet bot traffic from Russia has fallen to almost zero following these outages. Current levels represent just 0.4% of the two-week high recorded before the attacks began.

Services face limited functionality

Yandex Cloud Zones are now operating with restricted capabilities after the damage to their facilities. Many online services connected to these networks have been knocked offline as a direct result of the strikes.
