UAE and France plan billion dollar orbital data center with fifty satellites
A consortium led by Abu Dhabi's Marlan Space and French partner Loft Orbital announced a one billion dollar program to expand an Earth observation satellite fleet to fifty units.

The satellites carry radar and optical sensors designed to interpret data before it reaches the ground. This architecture sends alerts within seconds instead of downloading raw imagery for hours later. A central LLM store allows users to select open source models for specific tasks.

The first ten satellites are currently in production with no launch dates confirmed yet. The stated timeline for full deployment of the expanded fleet is five years. Money from a UAE-based investor finances this major infrastructure project.
