Production and sales timeline

Lars Moravy, vice president of engineering, stated that manufacturing is already underway at the Texas facility. The company intends to deliver these units to customers before the current calendar year finishes. Initial shipments will be limited while the firm learns about managing autonomous vehicles in private hands.

Fleet ownership structure

Elon Musk noted that most Cybercabs will remain owned by the company for its ride service operations. The automaker is currently seeking entities capable of building its robotaxi network rather than individual buyers. These early purchases are expected to involve companies buying entire fleets instead of single units.

Technology rollout schedule

Tesla could activate unsupervised full self-driving capabilities on some vehicles during the second quarter of 2027. The vehicle first appeared in public view after the company unveiled it back in 2024. Ride offerings through the Robotaxi app started in Austin this September.
