Apple Support pages state that iPhone owners should avoid saunas and steam rooms. Google adds that a Bluetooth speaker is the better option for listening in wet areas. Liquid damage from these environments is not covered under standard warranties.
Humidity creates hidden risks
Current smartphones feature IP67 or IP68 ratings where the second digit represents water resistance levels. Neither rating number should ever be confused with being truly waterproof in all scenarios. Manufacturers advise keeping phones out of humid spaces to prevent long-term damage.
