St. Lucie County discovers 11 unpermitted Flock cameras with unknown owners
Officials in St. Lucie County, Florida, identified 11 unpermitted Flock surveillance cameras belonging to unidentified owners after removing authorized devices.

Initial count revealed missing units
County leaders originally believed they possessed 52 cameras before the removal process began. The investigation uncovered 14 additional units that were not connected to any local agency. Three of these unpermitted devices were later claimed by the Sheriff's Office without explanation.
Residents express safety concerns
Multiple county residents told reporters they felt unsafe or unhappy about finding the hidden equipment. Flock cameras have faced extensive scrutiny regarding security risks and potential privacy abuses in recent months. More than 100,000 of these devices are reportedly currently in use across the United States.
