SpaceX targets September 28 for Starship’s first orbital flight with V3 satellites
SpaceX is targeting a September 28 launch for its 14th Starship flight, which will mark the vehicle's first orbit and deployment of V3 satellites.

Orbital test details revealed
This mission will fly 171 miles above Earth and complete six orbits within ten hours. Previous tests were suborbital to maximize public safety while allowing maximum learning. The upper stage will insert 26 Starlink V3 satellites into the constellation.
Satellite deployment confirmed
The vehicle carried next-generation satellites in a previous test to ensure capability before this flight. Those earlier satellites only extended their solar arrays and antennas during that specific mission. This upcoming phase prepares the vehicle for actual future flights and ensures reusability.
