Mirrorless cameras use interchangeable lenses

The company divides its lineup into two main categories based on lens type. Full-frame models carry the Greek alpha symbol prefix while cropped-frame versions follow a similar pattern. Both groups feature electronic viewfinders and rear displays for viewing images.

Compact models have fixed lenses

Smaller devices in the range include letter suffixes like C, R, or S alongside roman numerals. Some units start with RX or ZV instead of the standard A prefix. These compact cameras differ from mirrorless types by lacking interchangeable lens options.
